Strumming Exercises

With the 1-2-3-Rest strum you strum across the strings on the first three beats of each bar and "rest" (that means don't play) on the 4th beat. In this exercise you just play the open top 4 strings (D-G-B-E).



For this exercise play the top 4 strings. Focus on hittting the strings smoothly and crisply. Try hard to stay in tempo. It helps to count 1-2-3-4.



For this exercise play each individual string in order as indicate. Try to play along with the recording. Stay in tempo and try hard to hit the strings correctly.
